“	Samuel is the most experienced Senshi in the imperial cavalry. He's unfaltering in his duty to marshal the palace guards, and is the last line of defense for the royal family. Samuel's outward appearance may be proud and stoic, but his feelings towards Queen Marisa most closely resemble those of a lovesick kitty. He wields a mighty hammer that was bequeathed to him by the queen herself. Under an oath of allegiance to her, Samuel vowed to protect her life with his own, no matter the cost.	”

Samuel is the second Senshi companion in Astral Tale, unlocked as a reward from the quest Lv20. A Single Grain of Rice at the end of the Woolruft Plains main story line. Subsequent completions of the same quest on different characters from the same account do not yield any additional rewards.

Due to the way Samuel and other main story Senshi are unlocked, his Senshi Contracts can only be obtained through his shop in the Terracottage, which costs Bond. Bond can be obtained through Friendship Gems or the completion of Senshi Quests, which have not yet been implemented in the game, as of March 2024.
